Electrical Technician

Assemble electrical components of injection molding machines and provide input to engineering team regarding electrical design layout.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Configure, install, and maintain electrical equipment
  • Manage tasks to ensure on-time assembly of electrical machine components
  • Provide input to improve electrical layout
  • Solve electrical problems as they arise
  • Ensure that electrical and operational activities comply with all regulatory, industry, and company standards

Skills:

  • Knowledge of electrical principles, practices, and procedures
  • Knowledge of E3
  • Ability to read electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic drawings
  • Understand technical drawings
  • Hands-on experience and working knowledge of robotics and servo systems
  • Problem-solving and decision-making
  • Time-management and organization
  • Strong written and verbal communication

Education Required:

  • Solid understanding of mechanical equipment
  • Certificate of Qualification - Electrical
  • Graduate from post-secondary Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering program or equivalent
  • 3-5 years experience
